Nonverbal

Explanation-

A few weeks ago I went entirely nonverbal for 4 or 5ish hours while I was at a friend’s house. After I signed out “I’m okay” in ASL(she didn’t understand and that should’ve been my first clue), I tried to tell her “I love you” and, well … she immediately responded with “YEAH, NOVA! ROCK ON!” and I just lost it. It took a while to recover from that.

Seriously though, I’ve never appreciated talking more than I have now. You don’t know what you have until you’re incapable of speech and none of your friends understand sign language.

Eventually I got paper & a pen.
